Description

The Challenge Targets Trojan™ T-Post Guard Protection Kit is designed to extend the life of your T-Post while improving range safety. Many shooters are surprised to learn that even small-caliber handgun rounds can quickly cause significant damage to an unprotected T-Post.

Manufactured from 3/8-inch AR500 steel, the 20-inch guard installs in minutes using the included AR500 mounting brackets and Grade 8 hardware. The simple bolt-on design requires no drilling or welding and fits standard 1.25 lb/ft steel T-Posts available at most hardware stores.

In addition to protecting the T-Post from low missed shots, the guard also serves as a safety shield. By covering the irregular front surface of the T-Post, it helps prevent bullet fragments from striking the post where they can be deflected unpredictably. Instead, bullet spall from the target plate is directed safely into the ground, reducing the potential for fragments to travel back toward the shooter.

Each guard provides 20 inches of coverage, and multiple guards can be installed on the same T-Post to protect additional length for taller target setups or ranges where low impacts are common.
