Two shooters line up side by side. Each person starts with three paddles on their side of the dueling tree. On command, they begin shooting the paddles on their respective sides. Each good shot flips a paddle to the opponent’s side of the target. The first shooter to clear their side and flip all paddles to the opponent’s side wins the match. These exhilarating head to head matches are valuable exercises for law enforcement training. The fast paced, competitive nature of the event, increases student’s heart rates and teaches them to shoot well under stress.

I have had my Dueling Tree by Challenge Targets for a little over 2 months now and couldn’t be happier with it. It shipped directly to my home in about a week and what little assembly it required took under 30 minutes. The smooth operation of this design makes it the best action target of its kind that I have seen. We have shot literally thousands of rounds at this target and haven’t had a single issue with it. Bought this for our personal range and it has been great. Super fun, its durable and works great. Easy to assemble, the only hard thing is it is heavy, which it should be, but bring a friend to move it.

This is a heavy duty piece that should last a longtime. It was easily assembled and provides good training when duelling with another person. It was on sale, so the price was not far out of line, but regular price was a little on the pricey side.

The dueling tree came in two boxes that weigh about 45 pounds each. Assembly is a snap, a couple of 3/4″ wrenches is all you need. When assembled it is a little heavy for one person to move but can be broken down into lighter pieces. Mine took about 100 rounds of 9mm to get broken in but a little spray on lubricant will help out as a direct hit is required to flip targets from side. Now the only problem I have is keeping enough ammo. I have shot 9mm, 40 s&w, 38 +p and 357 mag from a distance of 20 yards with no problems, it is very well made.

I have a couple TDI torso/head targets and a couple dueling trees for my home range. These are quality targets built to last. Having steel always out on the range makes practice easier and more frequent. No targets to haul out or paper to replace. Just a fresh coat of paint at the end of session. Brad is responsive and backs his products up. Highly recommend Challenge Targets. Gordon S.

Hello, my name is Mark and I have a small pistol range out in my pasture. Up until I purchased a SuperNova and a Dueling tree, me and my wife (and friends) were relegated to paper targets. Not much fun in that! Once we got our Challenge Targets we spend much more time at the range and is a hit with our shooting friends. We have done some night shooting with targets lit up by halogen lighting and then relaxing by a near-by fire pit with camp fire. Everyone is impressed with the quality of these two products and the ease of maintaining (simply spray paint and away we go!!).

I have Challenge Targets Portable Texas Star with centerfire and rimfire plates. I also have their centerfire and rimfire Dueling Trees and they all work perfectly. I use them for training others at my local gun club and at my home range.
